What We Offer
Here’s something most people don’t realize until they’re already in Oia trying to figure it out — booking a restaurant for a group is hard. Really hard. You’ve got twelve people, or twenty, or thirty-five. Everyone’s hungry. Half the restaurants won’t take a reservation over eight. The other half want you to commit to a fixed menu that nobody’s excited about. And by the time you’ve walked three streets, someone in the group has already given up and suggested pizza.
We hear this story constantly. Tour guides call us frustrated. Event planners send emails at midnight. Families on reunion trips message us a week before they land asking if it’s too late. And most of the time, we can help — because private dinner groups in Oia is something we’ve been doing for a long time, and we actually enjoy it.
Oia Gefsis is one of the few restaurants in the village that welcomes group bookings — from tour agencies and corporate events to family gatherings, friend reunions, birthday celebrations, and end-of-trip dinners. We don’t treat groups like a problem to manage. We treat them like any other table — just a bigger one.
Who Books with Us
All kinds of people. A tour operator bringing 20 guests from a cruise ship who want a proper sit-down Greek dinner instead of a buffet. A family of 15 celebrating a grandmother’s 80th birthday. A corporate retreat where the team wants to eat well without someone having to organize everything themselves. A group of old friends who haven’t been in the same room for five years and picked Santorini as the meeting point.
What they all have in common: they want to sit down together, eat great food, drink good wine, and not worry about whether the restaurant can actually handle it.
We can.

How It Works
You get in touch. We ask a few questions — how many people, what kind of evening you want, any dietary restrictions, and when you’re coming. From there, we build a tailored Greek dinner menu that works for the group.
Most groups go with a shared style — platters in the center of the table, meze to start, grilled seafood and meats for mains, local wines throughout. It’s how Greeks actually eat when they get together, and it works every time. But if someone in the group prefers a plated dinner or needs a vegetarian option, we handle that too. No fixed packages. No “Menu A or Menu B.” Just real food, chosen together.
We finalize everything before you arrive so the night itself runs without anyone thinking about logistics.
The Space
We have dedicated seating areas across our terrace and indoor spaces. For smaller groups — ten to fifteen — we can set up a semi-private area on the terrace with views over the village rooftops and the Aegean. For larger parties — up to forty — we arrange the space so everyone’s together, whether that’s one long table or a few connected ones.
Indoor rooms are there if the weather calls for it or if you want a more enclosed setting. And the courtyard works well for a drinks-first-then-dinner setup.
The point is flexibility. Every group is different, and the space adapts to what you need — not the other way around.
Pricing — No Surprises
This matters, especially for tour agencies and corporate bookers. We give you a clear per-person price or a total quote based on the menu you choose. No hidden fees. No mandatory extras. No “service charges” that appear on the bill at the end.
We keep quality high and pricing fair. That’s not a slogan — it’s something we hear back from every tour operator who books with us more than once. They come back because the food was real, the guests were happy, and the invoice matched the quote.
If you need a formal quote for internal approval, we’ll send one.
What Group Organizers Usually Ask
What’s the maximum group size? Around 40 guests comfortably, depending on the seating arrangement.
Can we choose the menu in advance? Yes — that’s how we recommend doing it. We work with you on the menu ahead of time so the kitchen is prepared and the evening flows.
Do you accommodate dietary needs? Of course. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies — tell us in advance and every guest gets taken care of.
Can we add wine pairing or drinks packages? Yes. We can build a drinks selection into the quote — local Santorini wines, cocktails, or a mix — whatever fits the group.
How far ahead should we book? For summer — book as early as you can. We fill group dates quickly, especially weekends. Off-season is more flexible, but early booking still helps.
