Most people visiting Oia don’t want to rush. You’re on holiday. You woke up late. The sun’s already warm. And honestly — who wants to choose between breakfast and lunch when you can have both?
That’s what brunch in Oia should feel like. Not a fixed menu with a time limit. Not a buffet line. Just a slow, late morning on a terrace with good food, a cold drink, and nowhere to be.
At Oia Gefsis, brunch happens naturally. We open at 09:00 and the kitchen runs all morning. Guests show up whenever they’re ready — some at ten, some closer to noon — and order whatever feels right. That’s the whole point.
What Brunch Looks Like Here
You might start with kagianas — our traditional scrambled eggs with grilled tomatoes and feta — and then add a plate of tzatziki, eggplant salad, or charcoal-grilled vegetables from the kitchen. Maybe handmade sourdough with Santorini tomato paste. Maybe rustic fried pancakes with feta and honey. Then a fresh salad because why not. That’s brunch.
It’s not breakfast. It’s not lunch. It’s that thing in between where you sit down hungry and two hours later you’re still picking at plates, sipping something cold, and watching the village wake up around you.
We pull from both our morning and midday menus — traditional Greek breakfast plates alongside Mediterranean small dishes — so you build your own table. No rules.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back for Brunch
Most brunch spots in Oia give you a menu and a view. That’s about it. What we hear from guests — and we hear it a lot — is that brunch here felt different. Not because we tried to impress them. But because everything on the table was real. The eggs come from a local farm down the road. The sourdough is baked fresh every morning. The tomato paste on the bread is made from Santorini tomatoes that actually taste like something. People notice that stuff. They also notice that nobody rushed them. You sit, you order what you want, you stay as long as you feel like it. That’s not a policy we invented — it’s just how mornings work in Greece.
Drinks with Your Brunch
Brunch in Oia without a drink feels incomplete. Our homemade lemonade with ginger and lemon verbena is a guest favorite — made in-house, no shortcuts. But if you’re in holiday mode, our Santorinian Spritz or a glass of chilled Assyrtiko from a local vineyard hits differently at 11 in the morning with the Aegean in front of you.
We also do great coffee. Greek coffee, espresso, freddo — whatever gets you going.
When to Come
Anytime between 09:00 AM and 10:00 PM. The terrace is quietest before 11:00 AM. After that it fills up — but never feels rushed. If you’re the type who likes a table ready and waiting, book ahead. Especially in summer.
Walk-ins work too. But a reservation means your morning starts exactly the way you want it.
Reservations are recommended, especially during summer months. You can book through our website or call us directly at 2286071526.
